The importance of truck drivers in our daily lives cannot be overstated. Their vehicles are massive and hard to miss as they drive down the highway, and they come in all shapes and sizes, but there’s much more to truck drivers than meets the eye. In fact, it’s estimated that more than 3 million people in the United States work as truck drivers, which makes them one of the largest professions in the country today. Join us in the celebration of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, thanking drivers everywhere for their hard work.
Sunburst Truck Lines is a second-generation trucking company that’s been in business for over 30 years. In addition to running safe, reliable transportation services, we strive to give back to our drivers and their families by recognizing and rewarding their hard work, always treating them with respect, and providing a healthy work-life balance that allows them to go home to their families every night. We look forward to working with our drivers for decades to come!
Let’s face it – trucks are awesome. They’re big, they’re fast, and they help to transport goods all over the country. But there’s more to it than that. Truck drivers do a lot of work behind the scenes; it is their job to move goods from one place to another, and they contribute greatly to our nation’s economy. In order to recognize these men and women for all of their hard work, we celebrate National Truck Driver Appreciation Week in September every year.
This week was created in 1998 by American Trucking Associations [ATA] and is supported by members of several trucking industry groups, including the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association [OOIDA] and the United States Independent Trucker Alliance [USTA].
Thank you again to all of the amazing truckers who work at Sunburst. Thanks to your hard work and dedication, our company has grown into what it is today. Make sure to stop by Monday, September 13th for a special thank you from everyone in the office.
